Storhamar vs Frisk Asker 5-1 FINAL
(1-0, 3-0, 1-1)

Storhamar had few problems by over-powering Frisk Asker in the first game of the Kings Cup finals. A slow start from both teams, feeling each other out, was followed by a Storhamar dominance. The first goal came 12 minutes into it when Troy Josephs beat Nicklas Dahlberg five-hole from the side, in a powerplay.

In the second frame Storhamar took the game out of reach for the visitors when three more goals were added. Patrick Thoresen beat the goalie from the low slot close to the half way point. Brother Steffen made it 3-0 a minute later when his shot from behind the goal line hit a skate and changed direction, and then Robin Dahlstrøm beat the buzzer by seven seconds to build up a four goal cushion.

The blue dressed Yellows controlled the happenings in the third period and never let Frisk back into it. Anders Bastiansen managed to break the deadlock from short range 11 minutes in, but it was just for concolation. Kurt Davis semented the win with a nice wrister five minutes later.
